White Hart Hotel

Never been to such a disgusting room in my life, how they have the nerve to let this room out was beyond me, the carpet was dated filthy and lumpy, pillows stains all over them, broken chair, chipped mugs, the list goes on, they should have paid us £92 to stay there, I wouldn’t let a dog stay there, needless to say we did not stay and we have to get in touch with yourselves for a refund

Spooky and not clean. Needs a bit of a makeover

Visited as we stayed at this hotel often and wanted to see it post the upgrade. It’s beautifully done - very sympathetic to show the hotels age. Stayed in a snug room. It is that … snug. I had an awful night sleep as the double bed was so small and high! The ambience in room, the little sweets and music were lovely. The shower was fab. Stand out for me was the staff, everyone lovely and friendly. Had drinks in the bar - 2-1 cocktails made me happy, the espresso martini was lovely. Had breakfast, the latte was really nice but felt that, not short of £50 was expensive for a served very cold breakfast. Will stay again

I have been a resident of Lewes for more than 20 years. Ive been a long standing, regular of this Hotel. From swimming lessons for my 3 children to lunches with the ladies and treatments for my Mum and I. I obviously hadn't frequented it in the present days due to renovations. However last month I took my cousin who was visiting out of town to lunch there and also to add a review to my blog of more than a hundred thousand followers. The food was sensational and the service second to none. But this evening what a contrast. I was charged almost £15 for a double tequila and when I asked to query this with the Duty Manager, Angelo. He shut me down and was absolutely aggressive and intimidating and transferred the blame on me saying I should have brought it up when going to pay which I did but the young lad, Matthew was clearly new and flustered. The bar was busy so to save a drama I just paid so others could be served. And then I had the etiquette to take it to management privately. Angelo was aggressive from the start and accusatory from the start and completely dismissive. I conducted myself calmly and revolutionary.

Sunday lunch with friends was excellent. The atmosphere is very good in the newly refurbished dining room. Everything was to a high standard and the menu choice good. Could have had a little more gravy on the meal as Yorkshire pudding was very dry but overall a great meal and good service. Would like to return in the warmer months to try dining in the new patio garden.

Unfortunately I did not like the sauce with the muscles. I would however rate the customer service as first class. Scarlett was excellent at talking to me about the sauce. The manager also dealt with the situation excellently. I will definitely go back as they are very keep to make a good reputation and are working on details. I really rate Scarlett and the manager as excellent.
